I will never cease to sing the praises of this gradual tanning body lotion.
GARNIER SUMMER BODY MOISTURISING LOTION in DARK is the perfect product for developing and maintaining a beautiful, luminous golden glow, all year round!
As you can see in the video, I am an avid user of this lotion - my 400ml bottle is almost finished now, and I can't wait to pick up another one!
What makes it special?
Well, apart from giving the most natural looking, Sun-kissed look, it gives you complete control over the depth of your tan! Apply as occasionally or as often as you like, depending on how dark you want to be!
This fantastic, emollient-rich, fast-absorbing formula contains nourishing Apricot Oil, meaning that you don't have to choose between being tanned and being moisturised. The skin stays baby soft, smooth and hydrated for hours on end, and when I say it absorbs quickly, I mean it!
Apart from the Apricot oil, the other star ingredients are glycerin, cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone.
Glycerin is an excellent humectant, ie. a substance which attracts water, ie. a moisturising agent.
Cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are silicones - these are light enough that you can wash them off with mild surfactants. In this formula, silicones are responsible for trapping all of that delicious moisture by forming a light film over the skin - that’s what gives you that smooth feeling on your skin, and that’s how your skin stays beautifully moisturised. Moisture doesn’t escape that protective coating, and your skin rejoices, and the coating is light enough that your skin can still “breathe” - you don’t get that feeling of being covered in something slippery and plasticky. At the same time, they’re not water soluble, so you don’t have to worry that perspiration or contact with water will decrease the lotion’s efficacy. No such thing will happen, and you’ll stay moisturised until your next shower! This is some very clever chemistry by Garnier, you know!
I love the triple whammy of this formula. A moisturising agent, a sealing emollient, and a nourishing oil. Get in! 😍👌
I apply it daily after my evening shower, and by the time I've gently massaged it into my skin, I can safely put on my pyjamas as it's perfectly touch dry. It has a subtle, fruity scent which makes it extra pleasant to use!
It's also worth mentioning that there's no need to be afraid of any unsightly streaks- just massage it gently into the skin like you would any other lotion, and you'll end up with a gorgeous, golden, and most importantly perfectly uniform tan which won't go patchy! THANK YOU GARNIER!
