Garnier’s New Micellar Charcoal Jelly Water – My Latest #BestBeautyBuys!
I’ve been a huge fan of Garniers micellar waters for years now. It’s honestly become a staple in my skincare routine, especially as someone with combination, blemish-prone skin who also uses prescription retinol. Depending on what my skin needs at the time, I reach for different ones—whether it's the Vitamin C Micellar Water for a glow boost, the original sensitive formula when my skin gets a little irritated from tretinoin, or the gentle peeling one when I want to exfoliate without messing up my retinoid routine.
But recently, Garnier dropped something new—their Micellar Charcoal Jelly Water—and I had to try it, especially with some new-ish piercings on my nose (and the blackheads that love hanging around there!). First off, it’s got this fun jelly texture that’s different from the usual micellar water, and I actually love it. It feels cooling and glides over my skin really smoothly. The formula is infused with charcoal, which is known for helping to absorb excess oil and drawing out impurities. Perfect for my combination skin, and it’s been great for those stubborn blackheads on my nose.
I was a little worried about using any skincare so close to my piercings, but honestly, no issues at all! Just like Garnier’s other micellar waters, this one does that same clean, no-residue swipe that we all know and love. It lifts off dirt, oil, and makeup in one go, but doesn’t feel harsh or stripping, even on sensitive areas.
The best part? It’s still super gentle, like the other Garnier micellar waters, but with that added power from the charcoal. I’m excited to keep using it and see how it holds up long-term, but so far, I’m loving the fresh, matte finish it gives my skin. If you’re into micellar water and have combination or blemish-prone skin like me, this one’s definitely worth checking out!
