Hair colour care is so important, not just deciding on the right shade and colour but ensuring we follow the product instructions too. A small number of people may have an allergic reaction to hair dye but it is extremely rare. However, you should still read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and carry out an allergy test, even if you have used the hair dye before and even if you have never suffered with a reaction.
48 hrs before you plan to use the hair dye apply a small quantity of the unmixed dye on a cotton bud and apply behind the ear.
During the 48 hrs look for any itching, redness or swelling. If you have a reaction refrain from using the hair dye, no reaction then you are good to go!
Remember hair dyes are safe to use and it is normally only a small minority of people that suffer a reaction but you shouldn’t take any chances so always carry out your test beforehand.
I love being able to colour my hair on a regular basis and there are so many colours to choose from now. Happy colouring!!!
