My review for Garnier GOOD Permanent Hair Dye 2.0 Truffle Soft Black.
I was delighted to be chosen for my very first test and review to trial this hair dye. This product boasts some great credentials: being of 90% natural origin and kinder to the planet and animals.
Although everything is included in the large tub, I must admit it took some getting used to because those of us who regularly dye our hair take for granted having a plastic bottle with a nozzle for application.
The dye and developer come inside pouches that are squeezed into the main tub and mixed together with a wooden spatula. Once mixed, the dye resembles a thick hair-mask consistency and is scooped out and smoothed onto the hair with hands and fingers. Gloves are provided for this part but I did find it quite a messy process. I already have a tinting brush so I ended up using that for more precise application and would recommend using a brush for the hairline and roots.
The dye stayed put and didn’t drip while developing. Some hair dyes have a very strong chemical scent and can sting my sensitive eyes but this had a pleasant fragrance.
After 30 minutes I rinsed the dye away to reveal my newly coloured hair. My early greys took the colour well and my hair didn’t feel overly dry. I followed with the conditioner which gave my hair a sleek sheen and a softness (there is enough conditioner for a few more uses). My colour looked natural not flat ror overly processed.
Thank you to Garnier and @Ravi @Garnier for the opportunity to test this hair dye.
