Review submitted; I was kindly gifted this GOOD permanent hair dye by Garnier as a member of a customer community. I had looked at this range before but dismissed it because of the need to mix the colour yourself. I was wrong to be put off by that - you literally just have two packets to mix together in the tub using the wooden spatula provided. A few minutes of stirring and you are good to go. The mixture had a lovely walnut scent to it - much nicer than any other home hair dye I’ve used. You apply with your fingers by scooping the mixture out of the tub - again this didn’t appeal to me and I thought it would be messier. I actually found it ok to apply and in fact easier to apply to the back of the head. I did end up using two hands to mix it into my hair which meant the outside of the tub got dye on it - making clean up after a bit messier than normal. I used one tub which was perfect for my short, thin hair. If you have long/thick hair you would definitely need to mix up from two tubs. After 30 minutes you rinse off in the shower until the water runs clear. You then apply the Shea butter after colour care for up to 3 minutes. It reads as if you need the whole packet so I did, but this was far too much and a very excessive amount. My hair feels soft and in a lovely condition. It has covered all my greys. However my old roots are slightly lighter than the rest of my hair. Not extreme or even highly noticeable, but it has definitely taken differently on my roots. Otherwise I am happy with the shade, but for me the biggest test is how it lasts because I normally find colours can fade a lot. Overall I am happy and pleased to have tried this new permanent colour range. Well done to Garnier for their clear recycling instructions too 💚
