First Time’s a Charm: My Hair-Dyeing Experience 🙌
I had never dyed my hair before, and I kept putting it off because I was scared to start. I was worried I’d do it wrong, that I might have an allergic reaction—then what? I worried the colour wouldn’t cover my grey hair, that I wouldn’t be able to see what I was doing and end up with only part of my hair dyed, or that the bathroom would smell of chemicals, making me cough. But my biggest worry was choosing the wrong colour.
I was initially planning to go for turmeric or pomegranate red because I adore those shades, but I changed my mind. I’ve been a dark brunette my whole life, so I thought making a drastic change might not be the best idea, especially for my first time dyeing my hair. In the end, I chose Good by Garnier in Iced Chestnut Brown, 🌰 which I thought looked similar to my natural colour.
Two days ago, I opened the tube and carefully read the instructions. The package included a QR code linking to Garnier’s website for additional guidance. I performed the allergy test as recommended, and today, I finally mixed the product in the provided tube and applied it to my hair. Everything I needed was included, which was great.
I was surprised to notice a lovely smell coming from the dye instead of the harsh chemical smell I was expecting. The instructions were easy to follow, and before I knew it, I was drying my “new” hair. I was so pleased with the results that I felt silly for postponing this wonderful experience! My hair looked beautiful, healthy, shiny, and, most importantly, brown—not grey! ✨ The scent was pleasant too.
The product is fantastic value for money and delivers great results without any hassle. I have to say—if you’re in the same position I was, trust Good by Garnier. It really delivers. I’ve already purchased another shade for my next hair-dyeing session.
Thank you, Garnier! 💚
