Wake Up Your Skin: DIY Coffee Exfoliating Mask ☕️ 🥑
If you love coffee as much as I do (or know someone who does), don’t throw the grounds away! Transform them into a beautiful homemade exfoliating mask with just a few simple ingredients.
Most people, if not everyone, struggle with dry skin during the colder months. This peeling will help remove dead skin, moisturise the exposed layers, and leave your skin smelling amazing too!
Check out the recipe and give it a try! I recommend applying it in the shower, or if you’re focusing on just your hands or face, do it over the sink—things can get a bit messy 😁
Ingredient’s:
- Used coffee grounds (from your morning coffee works perfectly) – about 3 tablespoons
- Sugar or salt – 1-2 tablespoons (optional, for extra exfoliation)
- Oil – 2 tablespoons (coconut oil, olive oil, or almond oil work well).
Optional extras:
- A few drops of essential oil (like lavender or orange) for fragrance.
- A teaspoon of honey for added moisture.
- A pinch of cinnamon for a warming effect.
Instructions:
1. Mix Ingredients: Combine the coffee grounds, sugar or salt (if using), and oil in a bowl. Adjust the oil quantity until you get a paste-like consistency.
2. Customise (Optional): Add your chosen extras for additional benefits.
3. Apply: In the shower, on damp skin, gently massage the mixture onto your body in circular motions.
4. Rinse Off: Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat your skin dry.
Tips:
- Use it 1-2 times a week for smooth and glowing skin.
- Be careful in the shower as the oil can make surfaces slippery.
Store any leftover scrub in an airtight container and use it within a week.
